Independent recruitment consultancy, HRC Recruitment, has bolstered its accountancy and finance team with two new senior hires.

Experienced recruiters Margaret Richmond and Lynne Macdonald have joined the team as director and principal consultant, respectively. Their appointments enable HRC Recruitment to strengthen its offering across the full accountancy and finance market.

The new recruits arrive from ASA Recruitment, where Margaret led the professional services division with Lynne as the key member of her team. Margaret and Lynne have a combined 42 years of experience in the Scottish accountancy and finance sector.

With Margaret at the helm, the six-strong team based from HRC’s Glasgow office will work across Scotland’s central belt on roles ranging from qualified permanent positions, public practice, UK wide payroll, transactional roles and part qualified appointments with a temporary and contract offering.

Joe McShane, director – professional services at HRC Recruitment, said: “Margaret and Lynne are renowned in accountancy and finance recruitment and it’s great to be welcoming such highly skilled professionals to our growing team. By harnessing their valuable experience in the market, our jigsaw is now complete, and we can offer full coverage across central Scotland.

“These new hires are a major part of our exciting plans for further growth and development in the accountancy and finance space. We have ambitions to become the front runner in the market and, in due course, hope to replicate the strength and depth of our Glasgow-based team with a parallel offering in Edinburgh.”

Margaret added: “It’s an exciting time to join HRC and I’m looking forward to driving the team forward, in line with its overarching ambitions for growth. With the expertise to recruit in financial services, industry and commerce, and public practice, the business has a strong reputation in the accountancy and finance sector. I’m pleased to be playing a part in its next chapter.”
