LNER services between Aberdeen / Inverness and Edinburgh

DUE to severe weather conditions forecast for Thursday 19 October and Friday 20 October across Scotland, LNER will not run any services north of Edinburgh on these dates. Please do not travel on this part of our route.

Road closures are expected to be in place across Scotland due to high winds and flooding. Other operators will also be subject to the same route closures and no alternative routes will be available.

Customers with tickets dated between Wednesday 18 October and Friday 20 October and travelling between Aberdeen / Inverness and Edinburgh, may use their ticket up to and including Wednesday 25th October. We highly recommend that you make a new reservation for LNER services here, at our Travel Centres or via the LNER App.

LNER services to and from Edinburgh

A reduced service will be operating south of Edinburgh. We strongly advise customers to check before they travel as services may be heavily delayed and are likely to be very busy.

Customers with LNER tickets dated for Thursday 19 October and Friday 20 October for travel to and from Edinburgh, will be able to use their tickets to travel on any service to/from Edinburgh on the same date.
