Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) is hosting a series of drop-in clinics at key livestock marts across Scotland to showcase the business value of its Quality Assurance Schemes.
These events provide a platform for farmers, auctioneers, and industry professionals to engage directly with the QMS team and learn about the assurance schemes that highlight Scotland’s high standards in meat quality, welfare, production, and traceability.
An assessor from Food Integrity Assurance (FIA) will also be present to address assessment or certification queries. These clinics are part of QMS’s strategy to position Scotland as the premium choice for red meat by actively involving stakeholders.
Kathryn Kerr, Head of Brands Integrity at QMS said: ” We have listened to feedback and we’re looking forward to meeting with farmers, auctioneers and other industry stakeholders across Scotland.
“These market days provide a fantastic opportunity for direct engagement, allowing us to answer questions about our assurance schemes.
“We’re here to support our members and the wider community, so I encourage anyone with an interest in what we do to come and have a chat.
“We look forward to meeting you and discussing how QMS can continue to support the quality and integrity of Scotland’s meat industry.”
