Dentons strengthens litigation and dispute resolution practice in Scotland

DENTONS, the world’s largest law firm, has further strengthened its litigation and dispute resolution practice in Scotland with the appointment of Fiona MacGregor as counsel.

Fiona joins the firm’s Glasgow office, bringing more than 15 years’ experience, including a strong track record in complex property litigation. She has represented clients in disputes before the full range of Scottish courts and tribunals and has extensive expertise in property litigation.

She has worked across a range of issues, from recovery of arrears to title disputes and compulsory purchase. Fiona is also a Solicitor Advocate. In addition to her knowledge of the law and court process, she regularly advises clients on alternative forms of dispute resolution, including the use of expert determinations, arbitration and mediation.

Fiona joins Dentons from Pinsent Masons. She has regularly been recognised by both Chambers and Legal 500 in their annual directories, for example being described as “fantastic: exceptionally intelligent and organised” and “hugely impressive”. She has a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Glasgow Graduate School of Law, an LLB (Hons) with French Legal Studies from the University of Glasgow and a Certificat notions fondamentales de droit international, européen et compare from Université Robert Schuman (Strasbourg III).

The dispute resolution team Fiona joins at Dentons includes four partners, one counsel and eight senior associates and associates. The Dentons’ team has strongly established itself as a front runner in the commercial litigation market, with the motivation and ambition to continually develop opportunities which its unique global network offers.
