Dandara Scotland has helped lift community spirits this December with two local donations, including a £500 contribution to East Lothian Foodbank and sponsorship of five Christmas lights in Wallyford.

The team visited East Lothian Foodbank on 2 December to present the cheque and meet volunteers who provide vital support to households across the region. Need for emergency food support remains high and the donation will help the charity replenish essential supplies during its busiest time of year.

Aimee Bryson, Operations Manager at East Lothian Foodbank said: “Winter is always our busiest period and every donation makes a difference to the people who need us. Community support is what keeps the foodbank going and we’re incredibly grateful to Dandara for helping us provide food, warmth and reassurance to local households when it’s needed most.”

Alongside its foodbank support, Dandara has donated £500 to Wallyford Community Council to sponsor five Christmas lights in the village. The sponsorship will help ensure the displays are ready for the annual Torchlight Parade on Friday 5 December, with signs installed to recognise supporters from across the community.

Claire Bathgate, Head of Sales at Dandara Scotland, said: “This is a time of year when community matters more than ever. We’re proud to support the foodbank team and the families they help, and also to play a small part in lighting up Wallyford for the festive season. Both donations are about giving something back and showing appreciation for the people who make this area such a strong and welcoming place to live.”

Dandara is currently building at The Pines in Wallyford, where a selection of three- and four-bedroom homes is now available. The development sits close to the village centre, schools and transport links, and many buyers are choosing it for the balance it offers between modern living and a strong sense of community. With more homes progressing on site, The Pines continues to grow as a neighbourhood rooted in the local area.
