Edinburgh-based welding and coating specialist CRC Evans has secured $37 million in new international contracts during January 2026, marking a record month for the company.
The contract wins reflect strong momentum in CRC Evans’ global growth strategy, underpinned by significant sector investment, technological diversification, and continued international expansion.
The new awards reinforce the company’s position as a trusted and collaborative partner for leading energy and infrastructure operators worldwide.
Mauro Piasere, CEO of CRC Evans, said:
“These latest wins bring great momentum to our growth strategy for 2026. We are planning to continue exploring new M&A opportunities to expand our footprint and expertise. Our current global reach spans every continent and every energy environment – from offshore platforms to remote deserts, from deep water to dense urban grids. We go wherever complexity demands.”
With more than 90 years of experience, CRC Evans delivers high-integrity welding and coating solutions to energy and infrastructure projects globally. The company operates across North and South America, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe, consistently meeting the Gold Standard in health, safety, environment and governance (HSE&G).
A recent highlight includes the successful completion of the first phase of the Ruya Project in the Middle East for COOEC, where CRC Evans executed 11,000 welds with the lowest repair rate in the industry—helping deliver a critical infrastructure project for Qatar ahead of schedule.
Historically renowned in traditional energy markets, CRC Evans continues to extend its expertise into adjacent sectors while maintaining its focus on project integrity, performance and safety. Further diversification is expected to drive international expansion and future growth.
Looking ahead, the company is combining field-based engineering excellence with ongoing investment in proprietary technology and innovation. This includes AI-driven welding and coating engineering, enabling fit-for-purpose design of both conventional and energy transition assets. Real-time data gathering from field operations will also enhance asset integrity monitoring for global energy partners.
As part of its global growth strategy, CRC Evans is preparing to announce a major investment in a next-generation “supersite” in the North West of the UK. Set to become one of the largest facilities of its kind worldwide, the centre will serve as a Centre of Excellence for end-to-end specialist welding and coating.
