Cooper Parry Wealth (CPW) has taken a significant step in its UK growth strategy with the appointment of Darren Lees as Relationship Partner, underlining the firm’s long-term commitment to Scotland.
The move forms part of CPW’s wider plans to expand nationally through strategic investment in talent, acquisitions and closer integration with the broader Cooper Parry business. Scotland has been identified as a key growth market, with Lees becoming the firm’s first dedicated Relationship Partner based in the country.
Operating from Scotland, Lees will work closely with clients, professional introducers and colleagues across Cooper Parry to strengthen relationships throughout the region. His role will also focus on helping clients access the firm’s integrated offering across wealth planning, tax and business advisory services.
Lees brings more than a decade of experience advising entrepreneurs, business owners and high net worth individuals, many with strong Scottish connections. With an established network and deep understanding of the local market, he is expected to play a central role in expanding CPW’s presence across Scotland, working alongside the firm’s growing tax and advisory teams to deliver tailored, joined-up advice.

Neil Norman, Head of Scotland at Cooper Parry, said: “Scotland has an exceptionally strong entrepreneurial community, with every region offering its own opportunities and challenges. We’re seeing increasing demand from business owners and families looking for advice that brings together wealth planning, tax and wider business expertise. Darren’s appointment strengthens our ability to deliver exactly that, while continuing to invest in our long-term presence across Scotland.”
In Case You Missed It:
Commenting on his appointment, Darren Lees added: “I’m delighted to be joining Cooper Parry Wealth at such an exciting stage in its growth. From the outset, I was struck by how closely the firm’s values and culture align with my own, particularly its commitment to putting clients at the heart of every conversation and every piece of advice.
“My experience has always centred on building long-term relationships with clients and helping them navigate important financial decisions, so it felt like a natural fit. Cooper Parry has already built an exceptional business with the expertise, investment and collaborative approach needed to support clients in a truly joined-up way. I’m excited to help grow that presence across Scotland, introducing more people to what makes the business different while building on the strong foundations already in place.”
Lees’ appointment comes amid continued investment in Scotland by Cooper Parry, where the firm has grown to a team of nearly 100 people over the past year. As one of the UK’s leading next-generation professional services firms, Cooper Parry is expanding its integrated offering across wealth, tax, audit, finance recruitment, business advisory and digital solutions – combining national expertise with an increasingly strong local presence to support ambitious businesses, owners and families across Scotland.
