INDEPENDENT consulting engineer Dougall Baillie Associates (DBA) has underscored its critical role in the construction industry in Scotland with a string of major contract wins in multi-million pounds residential building projects.
It is being tasked to provide professional services for schemes in Central Scotland with values of up to £200 million, which are adding close to 2000 new homes to the housing stock.
DBA’s managing director Fergus Adams said that ongoing work inflows had increased turnover by 10% to £3.3 million in the financial year to April.
He said: “The firm has outperformed in attracting significant new business and is well placed to continue on an upward curve as its reputation for professional delivery becomes increasingly recognised at the highest levels of the UK construction sector.”
Recent project wins include work in the grounds of the former Dykebar Hospital in Paisley, a development in Holytown, Lanarkshire and a spine road and residential development design at Carnbroe in Lanarkshire.
