Consilium Chartered Accountants are delighted to have provided lead advisory and tax due diligence services to Cleartech Group for the acquisition of Wigan-based ECB (Water Solutions) Limited.

The deal – Cleartech’s first acquisition outside of Scotland – significantly strengthens their geographical reach and compliments their existing HVAC commissioning, water treatment and Legionella compliance services in England.

ECB is a leading provider of Legionella control services to industrial and commercial outlets in the Greater Manchester and Lancashire regions.

Continuing a long-standing relationship between Consilium Chartered Accountants and Cleartech, CEO Jim McGuigan retained the services of advisors Corporate Finance Partner John Blair and Tax Partner Craig Coyle.

Discussing the deal, John Blair said: “We’re proud to have supported Jim and the whole Cleartech Group for many years and in that time, watched the business go from strength to strength.
