City Building (Glasgow) LLP has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting local communities, after delivering another strong year of charitable fundraising, donations, and community engagement.
The organisation has significantly increased its contributions, making a tangible difference to communities across Glasgow in the process.
Over the past year, City Building has donated nearly £60,000 to charities, reflecting a remarkable 55% rise on the previous year. It has also supported 52 communities, marking a 62% increase from the previous 12 months. while employee-led fundraising has surged by 85% to £24,000
A further £17,500 has been contributed through supply chain partnerships, with the Joint Trade Union Committee (JTUC) contributing £6,650 to various community initiatives, ensuring an even wider impact. City Building’s employees have played a pivotal role in these achievements, engaging in numerous charitable activities.
The company has expanded its impact through community apprenticeship projects, supporting initiatives such as refurbishing facilities at FARE Scotland Stepford Football Academy and the Springburn Shed Centre. Through its partnerships, City Building has worked with suppliers to provide essential items, including £10,000 worth of white goods to vulnerable citizens across Glasgow.
City Building’s work extends beyond financial contributions, with employees actively participating in fundraising challenges, including the Kiltwalk and the Race for Life. The company has also supported numerous charities such as Alzheimer’s Scotland, Breast Cancer Now, and Cash for Kids.
Its impressive track record was documented as part of the construction services firm’s annual report into charitable deeds.
