Citizen Ticket strengthens team with three new appointments

EDINBURGH based online ticketing and livestream events platform, Citizen Ticket has created three new roles following the investment round secured in December. Talent is to be introduced across the tech and sales teams in order to meet the company’s ambitious growth plans over the next three years.

Charlie Boisseau, Chief Technology Officer at Commsworld joins as a Non-Exec Director. In 2010 Charlie set up his own telecommunications business called Fluency Communications, this was acquired by Commsworld in 2012 and he then became part of the senior management team driving forward the ambitions to invest in a state-of-the-art Next Generation Network, that spans the length and breadth of the country. Charlie’s experience will be used to ensure the Citizen Ticket platform remains a leading offering in the marketplace, meeting the needs of event organisers and consumers alike.

Other key appointments include Oliver McLaren, he has recently joined as Business Development Manager reporting into Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer, Philip Shaw-Stewart. Oliver has a wealth of ticketing and events experience from previous roles with Ticketline and WeGotTickets and will be working closely with Philip and the sales team to target sports and culture opportunities

Last year, Citizen Ticket invested heavily in the ticketing platform with the introduction of its integrated livestreaming service during lockdown. The evolution and enhancement of the platform was the first of many new features to be introduced. Colin Palmer, Chief Technology Officer at Citizen Ticket intends to grow his team over the next couple of years in order to match resource with the needs of the business. Josh Hart has come onboard as an App Developer having successfully graduated from the Founders and Coders full stack web development bootcamp.

Commenting on the team expansion, Citizen Ticket CEO, Harry Boisseau said:
