CirrusHQ, an Advanced Amazon Web Services (AWS) Consulting and Channel Partner, has become the first and only UK-headquartered company to be listed under consulting services for the AWS Education Competency.

In order to achieve the competency, CirrusHQ spent a year demonstrating their considerable commercial acumen in the education field, with reference customers including Avallain and Oxford University Press. In addition, they needed to demonstrate that they were able to apply the five areas of the AWS Well Architected Framework to technical deployments in the education sector.

James Lucas, founder and CEO of CirrusHQ, stated: “I’m extremely proud of all the team at CirrusHQ for achieving this significant accolade. We’re all delighted to be first British AWS partner to be accredited by AWS under consulting services for the Education Competency. The real beneficiaries will be the great educational establishments in the UK. Not only will they be able to benefit from the transformational cloud services that only Amazon Web Services can bring, but they will also be able to do so in conjunction with a partner that has proven its credentials in this sector. We look forward to helping many more educators and students to harness the cloud on their learning journeys.”
