AWARD-winning real estate developer and investor Chris Stewart Group (CSG) has become the newest addition to the Glasgow Warriors sponsorship network, after agreeing a three year deal that will see branding for the company’s latest urban development emblazoned on the back of club shorts for both home and away matches.

In a move designed to help establish CSG’s Love Loan neighbourhood in the eyes and minds of Glasgow residents, the eye-catching pink logo makes its first appearance on home soil when the Warriors take on Benetton at Scotstoun on Friday, having debuted on the team’s kit in the recent URC clash with the Cell C Sharks in Durban.

Located just off George Square, the new neighbourhood of Love Loan is taking shape. Buildings have been restored and reimagined around a newly constructed lane and planned specifically with Glasgow’s renowned hospitality and social scene in mind. A beautifully designed hotel, stylish venues for eating and drinking, and contemporary, state-of-the-art serviced apartments and studios, as well as a private members club, are all moving in, with AC by Marriott, MYLocanda and Flight Club just some of the brands opening their first Scottish venues within the development.

Love Loan is the first major Glasgow development by the urban regeneration specialists, following the successful completion of their award-winning developments in Edinburgh’s Old Town and around St Andrew Square.

Chris Stewart, CEO of Chris Stewart Group, said:

“Partnering with Glasgow Warriors for the next three seasons is a fantastic opportunity for us to introduce Chris Stewart Group to the city and to start telling the story of our plans for Love Loan.

“Knowing the Warriors as I do and Scottish Rugby in general, I know that the partnership will give us the chance to work with some great people and to build the sense of fun, enjoyment and focus on excellence that we are bringing to Love Loan. It’s a different pitch, but the values are the same.

“I’m really looking forward to working with Alastair Kellock and everyone at Glasgow Warriors – there are some great opportunities for the two brands.”

Alastair Kellock, Managing Director of Glasgow Warriors, said:

“We’re delighted to be able to partner with a brand as forward-thinking and visionary as Chris Stewart Group.

“Their expertise and quality is evident throughout each of their developments, and nowhere is that more obvious than in the Love Loan development. It’s an exciting project and the plans that Chris and his group have will make a huge impression to everyone in the city of Glasgow.

“Having initially met Chris through the Scottish Rugby Business Club, I also know how passionate he is about rugby across the country, and I just how keen he is to get involved with us here in Glasgow.

“We’re excited about what lies in store and we look forward to working closely alongside each other as the Love Loan development comes together.”
