Richard Bathgate, restructuring partner and licensed insolvency practitioner at Johnston Carmichael LLP, has been appointed interim liquidator of Centurion Plumbing Services (Scotland) Ltd.

The company, which operated depots in Muir of Ord and Elgin, ceased trading on 31 March 2026 due to significant cash flow challenges. All 10 staff were made redundant by the director.

A primary focus for the interim liquidator is supporting the former workforce during this difficult period.

Richard Bathgate said: “Our immediate priority is to assist former employees in processing their claims through the Redundancy Payments Service. We are committed to helping them access the statutory entitlements and priority payments they are owed as quickly as possible.

“The company faced unsustainable cash flow pressures that ultimately made continued trading impossible. We are now in the process of realising the company’s remaining assets and investigating its financial affairs.”

Former employees and creditors are being contacted directly. Any parties who have not yet been notified can contact Venus Mackenzie or Raegan Main of Johnston Carmichael on 01224 212 222 for further information regarding the liquidation process and how to lodge their claims.
