Agricultural market leader Cefetra Grain is to promote its work at AgriScot, one of the premier events in UK agriculture taking place in Edinburgh next month.
Cefetra, which supplies customers in the animal nutrition, food and drink industries, is sponsoring the annual event and exhibiting at the show, which will be held at the Royal Highland Centre in Ingliston on Wednesday 13 November.
Cefetra Grain, which has significant grain storage facilities at Ormiston and Charlesfield with a combined capacity of 140,000 tonnes, is also a premier sponsor of this year’s event.
Billed by organisers as “the farm business event where the best commercial and technical advice is on offer”, AgriScot attracts farmers, farm managers, agri-business professionals and land managers all looking to develop their businesses.
At its stand, colleagues from Cefetra Grain will be promoting the company’s work in the seed, fertiliser and grain sectors, as well as updating attendees on its work in sustainability.
With a team of 34 grain buyers, Cefetra Grain has seven regional offices across England and Scotland and is part of Cefetra Ltd, which has an annual turnover of over £1.5bn and handles circa 5million tonnes per annum.
Cefetra Grain recently announced it has been appointed as grain marketing partner for Crop Marketing Groups Ltd (CMG), a co-operative made up of over 300 members across 10 regional groups.
Manager – UK Farm Grain Origination Simon Wilcox said: “We are pleased to be showcasing our expertise at AgriScot and look forward to meeting attendees in November.
“As a leading nationwide domestic grain origination business, AgriScot provides us with an invaluable opportunity to catch up with existing farmer suppliers as well as connect with new potential farmer suppliers, industry professionals and potential clients, reinforcing our commitment to supporting the agricultural community.
“AgriScot is the ideal platform for us to demonstrate our dedication to providing farmers with reliable and competitive grain marketing solutions.”
Held every autumn, AgriScot hosts more than 230 trade stands exhibiting products, services and advice aimed at covering every aspect of agriculture across four indoor exhibition halls.
Organisers aim to create an environment where suppliers and farmers can discuss business opportunities.
