Cala Homes (West), in partnership with Helensburgh Golf Club, is set to host a second public consultation event as plans progress for a proposed development of 145 new homes in Helensburgh.
Taking place on Thursday 18 June, the event will give local residents and golf club members a further opportunity to view updated proposals and share feedback. The development is earmarked for a nearly 20-acre site off East Abercromby Street and includes plans for new clubhouse facilities aimed at enhancing the long-established local amenity.
The consultation follows an initial event held on 14 May at Helensburgh Golf Club, which drew strong attendance from the local community.
At the heart of the proposals is a collaborative approach between Cala Homes (West), Helensburgh Golf Club and Dunbritton Housing Association. The partnership aims to deliver a development that addresses both local housing demand and wider community priorities.
In addition to providing new homes, the plans would enable significant reinvestment into the golf club, supporting the creation of a modern clubhouse. The club has been a fixture in the town since 1893.
The proposed development includes a mix of three, four and five-bedroom homes, alongside affordable housing to support local needs. The plans are designed to cater for a range of buyers, including first-time purchasers, families and those looking to downsize.
Sustainability is a key focus, with all homes and the proposed clubhouse set to be energy efficient and gas-free. Features would include air source heat pumps, electric vehicle charging points, green spaces, play areas and improved path connections.

The consultation event will run from 3pm to 7pm on 18 June at Helensburgh Golf Club, 25 East Abercromby Street, Helensburgh, G84 9HZ. Members of the project team will be available to answer questions and discuss the plans.
