BWS (Business Women Scotland) is proud to announce the launch of the BWS Women in Law Awards, the first awards of their kind in Scotland dedicated exclusively to celebrating and recognising women working across the legal profession.

The inaugural BWS Women in Law Awards will take place as a prestigious awards lunch, bringing together legal professionals, business leaders, and advocates from across Scotland to honour excellence, leadership, and impact within the sector. The event will feature 14 award categories, recognising women at all stages of their legal careers and across a wide range of roles within the profession.

The headline Title Sponsor for the awards is Sharri Plimbley Associates, a specialist legal recruitment company led by Sharri Plimbley. As a respected figure within the legal recruitment sector, Sharri Plimbley Associates is committed to supporting talent, progression, and diversity within law, making the partnership a natural fit for this landmark event.

Speaking on the launch, a spokesperson for BWS said:
“The Women in Law Awards mark an important milestone for Scotland. Women play a vital role across every area of the legal profession, yet their achievements are not always fully recognised. These awards are about celebrating success, sharing stories, and shining a spotlight on the women who are shaping the future of law.”

BWS is a well-established organisation supporting women in business and is now in its 18th year. Over nearly two decades, BWS has become known for delivering high-profile awards programmes and events that champion women across a wide range of sectors, creating platforms for recognition, connection, and inspiration.

In addition to its awards and events programme, BWS is also the founding organisation behind Business Women Connections, a sister franchise business that provides women with a proven blueprint opportunity to run their own business. The franchise supports women who want flexibility, independence, and the chance to build a successful enterprise while remaining connected to a wider professional network.

The BWS Women in Law Awards aim to not only recognise professional excellence but also to foster collaboration, visibility, and encouragement for the next generation of women entering the legal profession. Further details on award categories, nominations, and the awards lunch will be announced in due course
