A FINE ART Printing business which opened in Perth last year is going from strength to strength, following support from Business Gateway.
Louise Ormerod launched Craigrossie Printing in May 2022. The business specialises in high quality fine art reproductions along with providing services for artists and local businesses, including digital printing for posters and flyers.
Passionate about the arts from a young age, Louise understood the challenges faced by artists looking to find cost-effective printing at a small scale, so set about looking to find high-quality solutions, which sparked her idea for a business.
Louise initially launched Craigrossie Printing alongside her other full-time job, however, after being made redundant in September 2022, she became determined to grow the business.
She approached Business Gateway and was connected with a local adviser, Emma Kilani, who helped Louise to put in place early-stage market research identifying potential customer groups and competitors. Louise also benefited from Business Gateway’s Early-Stage Growth service, receiving help with a digital marketing strategy to raise the profile of her business online.
Since launching, Craigrossie Printing has attracted interest from around the region, with a steady influx of new clients including printing for the Royal National Mòd last year. The business has also become the official printers for Perthshire Open Studios. Louise continues to use her studio as a space for other creatives in the area.
