Brewin Dolphin boosts Glasgow team with experienced hire

Daniel Hough

BREWIN Dolphin has added to its growing Glasgow financial planning team with the appointment of Daniel Hough.

With a decade’s experience in financial services, Daniel joins the wealth manager as a financial planner from Mattioli Woods where he spent more than four years working in Aberdeenshire and Scotland’s central belt. He previously also held positions at Inverurie-based Advance Financial Planning Scotland and Santander.

A graduate of the University of Glasgow, Daniel has particular expertise in advising on pre and at-retirement options, tax-efficient savings, and inheritance tax planning.

Daniel said: “Having been aware of Brewin Dolphin and its offering from early on in my career, when the opportunity to join the firm came up I grasped it with both hands. Seeking out advice has seldom been more important, and I look forward to working with our clients to help them to achieve their financial goals in increasingly uncertain times.”

Stephen Martin, head of Brewin Dolphin’s Glasgow office, added: “We are working closely with our clients to help them navigate the current situation, managing and securing their wealth. Daniel is a great addition to our team and will be a big part of how we help the families, individuals, and professional services partners we advise to navigate the immediate term, as well as the months and years ahead.”

Earlier this year, Brewin Dolphin appointed Alan Harvey to lead its Glasgow financial planning offering. Tom O’Brien also joined the team in 2019 from Close Brothers.
