BRAND experts at Calgary Communications have opened a cutting-edge new office in Edinburgh.

In just six years of trading, the company has built an impressive client list which includes Scottish Power, Tesco Bank, GE and Heineken UK and its successful growth has led to the new opening in Scotland’s capital.

The agency helps companies across a range of sectors – locally, nationally and globally – to improve their brand, experience, cultural diversity, employee attraction, websites, digital, social, communications, training and early careers.

Jennifer Millar Director and Owner at Calgary Communications, says:  “When Calgary was established we decided against opening office premises, instead working remotely and moving around in line with clients’ demands.

“However the company has evolved considerably in a relatively short period. Our client base has grown as have their requirements, with an appetite for more services.

“We are an agile agency that prides itself in adjusting and responding to clients’ needs so we have expanded the scope of services we offer, taken on Sophie Irving, our new Account Manager, and established our headquarters in a great new office space.

“We wanted a space that reflected our personality and we are delighted with the location we have chosen on East Market Street right next to Edinburgh Waverley as it’s a light, airy, quirky space that is perfect for developing creative ideas.”

Calgary says a competitive job market is making it more difficult than ever before for companies to attract, retain and engage staff. But with help from experienced practitioners like Calgary they can use the power of their brand to attract the best talent.

The company carries out extensive research with a range of influencers, from businesses and their staff to stakeholders and customers, and uses its findings to develop practical tools for business success.

It then helps them develop the tools they need to retain the best talent the market has to offer through strong employer brands, positive candidate experiences and compelling employer value proposition.

Steve White, Director and Owner at Calgary added: “Until now our role has focussed on strategic brand creation, direction, applications and comms, however we are getting more demand than ever to assist in translating that into tactical deliverables. These range from ads, social, posters, stands, leaflets, digital brochures and toolkits.

“We have responded by creating Calgary Works, a new service that offers creative content to companies wishing to upgrade their market appeal and have stronger and more professional collateral to engage with talent.”

Calgary Communications is set to mark its official opening in early March with a launch event at the new office space at Arch 5, East Market Street, Edinburgh.
