Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group (AREG) is hosting an upcoming SME Technology Showcase event, designed to highlight emerging trends at the intersection of digital technology and renewable energy.

The event, which is sponsored by Vysus Group, will take place on Wednesday, 11 September from 10am-4pm at Aberdeen’s Sandman Hotel.

Part of AREG’s ‘Enhancing Offshore Wind Renewables Through Digital Innovation’ project, supported by Aberdeen City Council and funded by the UK Government, the event will feature a series of presentations and panel discussions from leading digital technology innovators and offshore wind developers, including Offshore Energies UK (OEUK), Vysus Group and Fennex.

During the discussions, attendees will discover more about industry collaboration and supply chain digitalisation.

In addition to the panel sessions, more than 15 technology companies will unveil their latest innovations, designed to enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes and promote sustainability, in the event’s exhibition space.

Jean Morrison MBE, AREG chairperson, said: “Tailored specifically for supply chain organisations and offshore wind companies eager to embrace digital transformation, this event will offer an excellent opportunity for professionals to explore new innovations and forge valuable partnerships while networking with peers and leading industry figures.

“As an exciting part of AREG’s ‘Enhancing Offshore Wind Renewables Through Digital Innovation’ project, which we launched earlier this year, we hope this event will encourage the exchange of knowledge and best practices, fostering learning and innovation within the digital technology ecosystem.”

AREG member registration for the SME Technology Showcase will cost £22.38, with non-member registration costing £44.04.
