Areas of Scotland predicted to be cashless by 2027

IN A new report, analysts at Merchant Machine identified when each UK constituency and city is predicted to be cashless: https://merchantmachine.co.uk/atm-accessibility-index/ 

Merchant Machine analysed monthly ATM availability data from 2018 onwards and used ARIMA forecasting models to determine when each of the 650 parliamentary constituencies and selected cities will become cashless (fewer than one ATM).

The team then displayed their findings in the following interactive table, showing the Scottish constituencies predicted to go cashless the quickest:

Merchant Machine also gathered data for all major cities – Edinburgh is forecasted to lose ATM access by 2038, with Glasgow to follow in 2043.
