AS part of its ongoing growth plans, ARC has announced that it is strengthening its capabilities in Scotland, appointing a dedicated Technical Sales Manager to the region.
With over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry, Kenny Maclachlan has been appointed to the role and will be focussed on supporting and developing relationships with customers across the region.
Kenny brings a wealth of technical knowledge and experience to the role. Having trained in architecture, thermal SAP, retrofit co-ordination and fire protection, he has spent much of his career in the building products industry and has strong relationships with businesses across a diverse range of sectors, including private housebuilding, social housing and commercial development. The first dedicated Technical Sales Manager the business has employed for Scotland, his appointment highlights the manufacturer’s commitment to businesses in the Scottish region.
Commenting on his appointment, Kenny said: “Having worked on both sides of the construction industry, I understand the challenges and regulations faced by specifiers and contractors. My experience and training mean that I am able to provide customers with the technical knowledge they need surrounding fire protection, ensuring that they uphold high standards of building and meet legal regulations.
“I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into my role at ARC. I am joining the business at a really exciting time in its growth and will be working with a truly expert team. Yes, it’s a challenging time for the construction industry right now but I see the opportunities that are out there for ARC and am looking forward to using my experience and relationships to support businesses across Scotland.”
