Apprenticeship Hospitality Scotland partners with City of Glasgow College to deliver 2024 programme.
Apprenticeship in Hospitality Scotland (AHS) and Hospitality Apprenticeship North East (HANE), a leading route for young adults into the hospitality industry, will collaborate with City of Glasgow College to deliver its tenth year of the programme following a competitive tender process.
AHS was launched in 2014 as a partnership between hotels across Scotland to nurture, develop and inspire the next generation of highly skilled talent for the Scottish hospitality sector.
HANE launched in 2019. The programme offers two routes to training; Hospitality Services and Professional Cookery. Both are two year apprenticeships.
AHS and HANE provide a combination of on-the-job training and formal education, leading to a nationally recognised SVQ Level qualification and a rewarding career.
The AHS/HANE programme has been a success story for the hospitality industry, with graduates securing permanent positions in some of Scotland’s finest hotels.
Some of the partner hotels include The Torridon in Wester Ross, The Royal Yacht Britannia in Edinburgh, The Fife Arms in Braemar, Douneside Hotel by Tarland, Kimpton Blythswood Square in Glasgow, The Old Course Hotel St Andrews and Trump Turnberry in Ayrshire.
