WIREFOX, advised by Savills and joint agent CBRE, has secured a new letting at Capella, in the heart of Glasgow’s financial district, to Aon, the leading global professional services firm.
Aon has agreed terms on the 9th floor at Capella, taking 10,904 sq ft (1,013 sq m) of grade A office accommodation in the c.115,000 sq ft building.
The building benefits from views over the River Clyde, excellent transport links and some of Glasgow’s best local amenities including Alston Bar & Beef, Jules Café, Caffè Nero, Radisson Blu Hotel and St Enoch Shopping Centre, all within easy reach. It is also undergoing refurbishment to provide new shower and changing facilities, additional bicycle racks and maintenance area alongside a new EV Charging point.
Other tenants in the building include MacRoberts, who recently confirmed an extension to their lease until 2029, and Atos, who have extended their lease until 2024.
The immediate area is undergoing significant change with pre-commitments from large financial services occupiers and new large office developments taking place: JP Morgan Chase has taken 273k sq ft on Argyle Street, HMRC has pre-committed to 187k sq ft at 1 Atlantic Square which is due to complete this year, and 2 Atlantic Square, which offers c.100k sq ft of office space, is also on track to complete this year.
