Scottish legal firm Anderson Strathern has made a raft of promotions, with three new partner appointments, a Senior Associate promotion, three Senior Solicitors moving up to Associate level and five solicitors promoted to Senior Solicitor. 

At partner level, Nick Howie becomes a partner in the Corporate team at Anderson Strathern.  Howie joined the firm in 2017 and clients include Apex Hotels and Dentex Healthcare Group. Alasdair Johnstone, who trained with the firm, becomes a partner in the firm’s highly regarded Private Client team concentrating on high net worth individuals.  Stephen McDonagh becomes a Partner, leading the firm’s Risk & Compliance team while also continuing his role as the firm’s Data Protection Officer,

In the Rural Land & Business Team Sophie Noble is promoted to Senior Associate, while three Senior Solicitors have been promoted to Associate: Anne Lawrie (Commercial Property), Russell Laughland (Private Client) and Stephen Moffat (Dispute Resolution). 

Moving up from Solicitor to Senior Solicitor level are: Emma Crilley (Dispute Resolution), Jemma Forrest (Employment Law), Fionnlagh Blair (Dispute Resolution), Ross Fairweather (Dispute Resolution) and Scott Fyfe (Corporate and Commercial).

Anderson Strathern is the first law firm in Scotland to have earned the double Gold Investors in People and Investors in Young People.  

In December, Anderson Strathern reported increased turnover to £22.8 million for the year to 31st August 2018 [2017: £21.5M] while reporting profits up by 10 per cent.
