ALT, the Glasgow-based creative campaigns agency, has installed Tala Cook as its new managing director.

Cook joined the agency five years ago, having previously held both agency-side and in-house roles where she specialised in strategic social media planning and digital execution.

ALT, who moved into new premises in the heart of Glasgow’s cultural quarter earlier this year, have been expanding rapidly and now boast a team of 20 executing strategic creative campaigns and channel activation for clients that include UEFA, Linn Products, Whyte & Mackay Brand portfolio and the Scottish FA.

The agency was founded in 2019 by husband and wife team David and Laura Haggerty.

David Haggerty said: “Tala has been pivotal in shaping our people-first culture here at ALT, which is about unrestricted opportunity for everyone. That allows us to deliver ambitious, unrestricted thinking for our clients in a manner they feel part of, and can actually enjoy. And nobody embodies that approach more than Tala. She’s enormously popular with our team and clients alike.

“There is little doubt she has proved herself to be the essential glue to shaping those parts to  help us deliver great work, but most importantly in a positive environment that allows our people to thrive. Having her at the helm makes perfect sense to us as we enter an exciting period of growth.”

Tala added:  “It’s an incredible honour to have the confidence in my abilities recognised by Laura and David in this way. One of the greatest moves I ever made in my career was to join ALT in its infancy. I wholly believed in David and Laura and the unique way they wanted to establish ALT.

“I’m proud of playing just a small part in the organisation’s growth and am so excited for the future. The quality of our growing team gives us all the platform to keep creating bolder, more successful campaigns for our clients, in an environment that allows everyone to have a good time doing so.”
