Aker Solutions has renewed its contract with Vår Energi, Norway’s second-largest gas exporter, for maintenance and modifications services.

The five-year agreement, starting January 2025, includes an option for up to three additional two-year extensions.

The contract, valued between NOK 0.5-1.5 billion, covers Vår Energi’s Jotun, Balder, and Ringhorne assets, continuing a partnership spanning over two decades.

Paal Eikeseth, Executive Vice President at Aker Solutions, emphasised the importance of this renewal, stating it reflects their status as Vår Energi’s preferred partner.

He said: “This contract renewal reflects our long-term relationship and status as Vår Energi’s preferred partner, highlighting that our commitment to improved deliveries and optimized solutions is highly valued by our customers.”

Work will be managed from Stavanger, with fabrication taking place in Egersund. The contract will be recorded as order intake in Q4 2024 under the Life Cycle segment.
