A leading firm of chartered accountants and business advisors has welcomed an established HR consultancy into its portfolio, to provide a greater range of services to its client base across the country.
Muir of Ord-based ADHOC HR has joined the Mackay & Co group, which serves clients across Scotland and the UK from its offices in the Highlands, Argyll and Aberdeenshire.
The Mackay & Co group consists of Mackay & Co CA, the north of Scotland’s leading firm of chartered accountants; GHRL, its business consultancy division; and now ADHOC HR.
The move brings over 40 years’ combined HR experience to Mackay & Co as it strengthens its consultancy offering, providing a comprehensive suite of business advisory services.

ADHOC HR, which will continue to trade under the same name, was established in 2017 by director Colin McAndrew, who has previously worked in senior HR roles for high profile organisations such as Amazon, Honeywell, GE and Global Energy Group. For the past four years he has been using his expertise to support SMEs in the north of Scotland.
Mr McAndrew, who will stay on to head up ADHOC HR in the Mackay & Co group, said: “Joining forces with Mackay & Co is an incredible opportunity for ADHOC HR, as it will allow us to significantly expand our reach and provide high quality HR services to a much wider range of businesses.

The addition of ADHOC HR will see Mackay & Co provide its clients with a full range of HR services, alongside its existing offering of business consultancy, accounting and book-keeping, taxation advice, VAT, payroll, charity, and foreign tax.
