Abrdn plc has announced the appointment of Siobhan Boylan as its new chief financial officer (CFO) and executive director, subject to regulatory approval.
Ms. Boylan is currently the CFO of Coutts & Co and a non-executive director at Jupiter Fund Management plc. She is expected to join Abrdn during the summer.
With over thirty years of experience and significant knowledge from across the financial services sector, Ms. Boylan’s previous roles include CFO of Brewin Dolphin (a FTSE 250 constituent until its acquisition in 2022), CFO of Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), and various senior finance positions at Aviva plc.
Sir Douglas Flint CBE, chairman of Abrdn, commented: “I am delighted to welcome Siobhan as a member of our board and executive team. Siobhan brings outstanding credentials and deep experience as CFO of wealth and investment businesses.”

Windsor also thanked Ian Jenkins for his commitment during the interim period, stating, “I want to take this opportunity to thank Ian Jenkins for his commitment during the interim period, and I am delighted he will step into a new role as CFO of our Investments business when Siobhan joins the Company.”
Ms. Boylan shared her enthusiasm about the new role, saying: “I am delighted to be joining Jason and the Executive team at abrdn. Ian Jenkins will remain as Interim Group CFO until Siobhan Boylan officially joins Abrdn.
