Aberdeen Football Club is pleased to confirm the extension of its partnership with TEXO as the Club’s official shirt sponsor, with the agreement now running until summer 2028.
This renewed partnership forms part of a forward-thinking strategy that will see TEXO further strengthen its ties within the Aberdeen community, continuing its support for both AFC and the Club’s Youth Academy. This move reinforces the robust relationship that has been cultivated over nearly a decade.
Under the new agreement, TEXO’s branding will remain prominently displayed on the shirts and training kits worn by all men’s professional and youth academy teams, as well as on all replica shirts available for supporters to purchase.
Beyond their sponsorship of the Club, TEXO has made a substantial commitment to the local community through a variety of charitable initiatives, with further projects planned in collaboration with AFC.
The TEXO Foundation, established to give back to the community, has supported numerous causes, including The Archie Foundation, which assists children and families facing health challenges. TEXO has also been a staunch supporter of Aberdeen FC Community Trust, most notably donating their front-of-shirt sponsor placement to AFC’s partner charity for the annual AFCCT Day fixture.
Chris Smith, Managing Director of TEXO, commented: “Together we are one: how that singular statement, idea, philosophy empowers the very meaning and mission of TEXO, but what does that have to do with the unwavering relationship between AFC and TEXO.
“It’s the common values and goals that join us and we are very proud to extend our relationship further with the Club. It’s through that togetherness that we become stronger and achieve more for the communities we live and work in.
“That’s why 2025 is a special year for TEXO. It’s our 5th year of the TEXO Foundation and we will be holding events throughout the year to celebrate our involvement with over 30 initiatives within local communities throughout our reach.
“In 2020 the TEXO Foundation started its first initiative and that was working with The Archie Foundation to develop and improve its workstations for the staff, so how poignant that we return in our celebrational year to work with Archie on our 5th anniversary flagship initiative.
“We are also proud to be announcing our new initiative in partnership with AFC: ‘Team Up With TEXO’, so please look out for further announcements over the coming weeks. This is one not to miss!”
Robbie Hedderman, AFC’s Commercial Director, added: “TEXO is a strong and dynamic brand, committed to the local market, and we are thrilled they have chosen to extend their partnership.
“TEXO has taken a different approach, in terms of their overall contribution to the city and the wider community in Aberdeen. We are proud to have them as a partner and excited to do more work in this area and are grateful to Chris and the whole team at TEXO for their continued support.
“This renewed partnership represents the biggest commercial deal in the Club’s history, and it is a significant milestone in our overall strategic objectives to continue to grow our commercial interests.
“Like the Club, TEXO has ambitious plans, and we believe that this partnership will undoubtedly help them achieve their goals as the business expands both in Aberdeen and beyond.”
