THE team at Thomson Cooper put their best foot forward this New Year with a donation of £5,500 to Foodbanks in Dunfermline and Edinburgh. Staff raised this money throughout December.
Dunfermline Foodbank is part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK. They have 5 locations across West Fife, plus a warehouse in Dunfermline that can accept donations. Though a multi-channel referral system, and with the help of over 200 volunteers, they provide local people in need with emergency food parcels and support.
Thomson Cooper Senior Partner Andrew Croxford commented: “Our team made a fantastic effort with their fundraising endeavors in December of last year and we thank everyone for their contribution towards helping our local community. I understand the donation will be used to replenish stock this month when demand for help is expected to be high.”
