BUSINESS is booming for two companies within Clyde Gateway’s The Albus building.  So much so, they are growing their headcount and doubling the size of their office space to take the award-winning building to 100% occupancy.

Award-winning creative brand agency, MadeBrave, first set up home at Clyde Gateway’s Albus Building in Bridgeton five years ago. Thanks to the successful growth of the company, they have doubled the size of their space from 3,138 sq ft to 6,556 sq ft and have taken over an entire floor. Their new offices now have capacity for more than 50 members of staff.

With a visionary office culture and environment, MadeBrave worked with creative designers Storey & Co, Splintr and Bureau to develop a unique space, including quiet pods for focus-time, more brainstorming spaces, architectural light installations, interactive displays and wigwams.

Andrew Dobbie, Founder & CEO, MadeBrave, said:

“I’m a big believer in the idea that the space you work in has a profound effect on inspiration, creativity, and how you feel in general, so we wanted to create a new space that would reflect our culture and provide an amazing environment for our team. We’ve had a fantastic relationship with Clyde Gateway ever since first moving into The Albus five years ago, so we decided to take the whole floor.

“We now have room for over 50 people, a new creative tech lab for experiential testing, a podcast studio, a photography and content studio, and plenty of new meeting, collaboration, and quiet areas to help us create even better work for our amazing clients. We’ve also just opened a new events space which includes a full kitchen, a fully stocked bar with programmable LEDs, and plenty of brandable displays and lighting. We couldn’t be more pleased with the new space.”

Another existing digital technology company that is expanding at The Albus is IT solutions company, Cloud Cover IT. Thanks to the growth of their business, they are more than doubling their space – from 2,329 sq ft to 5,467 sq ft, with plans to increase their headcount from 31 to over 40 employees by the end of the year.

Lance Gauld, Director, Cloud Cover IT, said: “The past year has been transformative for Cloud Cover IT, with significant funding secured from Scottish Enterprise, UK Steel and Business Loan Scotland, and many exciting business wins for our SharePoint and Power BI services. We’ve had a positive start to 2020 too, welcoming new clients from Africa, the USA and the Middle East, as well as continuing to help many local companies with their IT infrastructure. We have also appointed six new staff members, including two graduates, to bolster our growth and support young, local talent.

“Expanding our office space will accommodate the recent success of the business and foster our ambitious plans for the future. We are pleased to continue our strong relationship with Clyde Gateway, and to build on our contribution to the regeneration of Glasgow’s East End by bringing jobs and economic activity to the local area.”

Ian Manson, Chief Executive of Clyde Gateway, said:

“It’s been a thrill to watch both MadeBrave, our first tenants at The Albus, and now Cloud Cover IT take such bold steps to successfully grow their business and expand their talent. Clyde Gateway is right at the heart of the Glasgow labour market and it’s great to see that they are committed to the area and very much part of the success story of the regeneration of the East End of Glasgow as a place to live and work.”
